• Show that imitation is at the heart of making disciples
• Confront the tension involved with inviting people to imitate you
• Identify areas that we are to imitate Christ so others can imitate us
• Present small group questions in each section so communities can experience points together

• WHO we imitate
  • John 13 – Jesus washes disciples’ feet – “I have given you an example”
• WHAT we have to give
  • “…that you also should do what I have done for you.”
• HOW we give it
  • Posture – Humility
  • All people – no respecter of persons
  • Through service – see the need

DISCUSSION

• Why is it hard to invite people to imitate you?
• What has God done for you?
• What could it look like to actively look for the best interest of others?
  
  

CHALLENGE

• Make two columns
  • List everything God has done for you
  • Write down names you would associate with those acts of love did for you.
• Think a friend and ask them “What’s concerning you this season, and how can I help?”
