The Care Event Team shows love and compassion to those hosting weddings and funerals here at Cottonwood Church. They are present at onsite events in order to ensure a hospitable experience for families and their guests.

Concierge Drivers

Concierge Drivers

Drivers of golf carts remain on-call during weekend or mid-week services ready to assist all handicap, elderly, and others that need a ride from the parking lot to the building. We provide a smile, a friendly conversation, and a blessing to all we are excited to serve. You must be 18 or older with a valid California Driver’s license.

Serving in the Cottonwood Bookstore involves assisting customers in the store, producing CDs and DVDs of service messages (on weekdays), and stocking shelves with merchandise.

Cottonwood CO-Team

As a secondary serving opportunity, the Cottonwood Co-Team comes out at specific times to lighten the load of the various Cottonwood ministries who are hosting events and services. This is great for those with limited availability who have a heart to serve in God’s house. This is an opportunity to get familiar with the ministry of the Church, meet new people, and make a difference. Note: event details with times and days will be given well in advance so you can plan to serve with us.

The Media Team oversees graphic design, web design, photography, and social media for Cottonwood Church. Anyone interested or experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, WordPress, CSS, DSLR photography, or social media promotion is encouraged to serve with Creative Media.

Cottonwood Hubs & Pop-Ups is an Outreach that serves in a specific community by way of building relationships through pop-up events, community gatherings, and special events. Our aim is to establish relationships, build trust with the local community, and connect them to a Cottonwood Campus.

Anchored is a faith-based outreach and support system for women in the sex industry. We do this through non-judgmental love, speech, and actions. Everything we do is anchored in love, hope, and grace.

We hold church services for patients in local convalescent hospitals, helping the residents to feel loved and cared for. We have teams going out on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

We go door to door in small teams sharing the love of God in practical ways: visiting the residents, offering to clean their yards, helping with the chores, praying, and providing and delivering groceries through Grateful Hearts.

Our mission is to provide support and community to foster and adoptive families at Cottonwood. The foster care system is always in need of safe and loving homes, and we believe the church can be a part of the solution to this ongoing crisis. Therefore we strive to recruit and come alongside families at Cottonwood who are ready to open their homes and their hearts to these precious children.

Team members either sort, pack, and help distribute food at our mobile pantry or dust, clean, hang up clothes, and assist customers at our thrift store. The store helps raises funds for our food distribution.

Local Outreach Jails

Local Outreach: Jails

Collaborate with a Christian organization, the “Gleaners,” that works with jails and oversees many different churches to provide one hour church services to inmates. We do a Bible Correspondence Course in English and En Español which help inmates grow in their walk with God.

Cottonwood Veterans Outreach program supports and thanks our veterans for serving our country. We partner with other veterans organizations to access resources and to foster and encourage a veteran’s desire to assist other veterans.

Plaza Host

Plaza Host

This ministry is the first point of contact to a warm and loving welcome. Plaza hosts answer any questions guests may have, provide a brief orientation of the campus, escort guests to their desired building, or radio the concierge with golf carts for a ride up to ensure that our guests feel welcomed and taken care of.

Video Production

Video Production

The Video Team creates Church News, video promotions, and works behind-the-scenes on cameras during service. Anyone interested in helping set up equipment for shoots, editing video on Adobe Premiere, making motion graphics in After Effects, or learning to work the broadcast cameras, is encouraged to serve!

Cottonwood Runners Outreach is a group of like-minded individuals who share a passion for staying healthy and connecting with others. If you desire to have a healthy body, soul, and spirit, and a heart to serve the community, then join us on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of every month.

Saturday Night Outreach

Sharing the love of God out on the streets through conversation and prayer in the cities of Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Bring a jacket, we meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 7:30 pm on the plaza in front of the main church building (A).
