The Care Event Team shows love and compassion to those hosting weddings and funerals here at Cottonwood Church. They are present at onsite events in order to ensure a hospitable experience for families and their guests.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step program. The team creates a safe and confidential environment where attendees can feel loved and welcomed. Those interested are encouraged to be a part of the community before serving.

Drivers of golf carts remain on-call during weekend or mid-week services ready to assist all handicap, elderly, and others that need a ride from the parking lot to the building. We provide a smile, a friendly conversation, and a blessing to all we are excited to serve. You must be 18 or older with a valid California Driver’s license.
As a secondary serving opportunity, the Cottonwood Co-Team comes out at specific times to lighten the load of the various Cottonwood ministries who are hosting events and services. This is great for those with limited availability who have a heart to serve in God’s house. This is an opportunity to get familiar with the ministry of the Church, meet new people, and make a difference. Note: event details with times and days will be given well in advance so you can plan to serve with us.
We show children the love of Jesus through easy-to-understand teaching in a fun and exciting environment. Join our team to connect with families and children in raising up the next generation.
The heart of Cottonwood Kids Registration is to greet, assist and check in each family with grace and hospitality. We are one of the first faces each family sees as they come onto the Cottonwood campus so we want them to know they are welcome and feel like they are coming home to family.
Teams in Cottonwood Men serve at the Bible Study, a twice-monthly gathering for men. There is the option of serving as greeters or as table leaders to allow “iron to sharpen iron.” Those interested are encouraged to be a part of the community before serving.

The Media Team oversees graphic design, web design, photography, and social media for Cottonwood Church. Anyone interested or experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, WordPress, CSS, DSLR photography, or social media promotion is encouraged to serve with Creative Media.
Based on patients’ needs, teams serving in First Aid may provide basic life support (basic first aid, CPR, implementation of an AED) to church attendees. Requirements: Valid CPR/ First Aid/ AED certification card.

Growth Track provides several opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference. As a team member you will use your gifts to help people discover their purpose and live the life God created for them.
Anchored is a faith-based outreach and support system for women in the sex industry. We do this through non-judgmental love, speech, and actions. Everything we do is anchored in love, hope, and grace.
We hold church services for patients in local convalescent hospitals, helping the residents to feel loved and cared for. We have teams going out on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Our objective is to connect and to serve the surrounding communities. We go door to door in small teams sharing the love of God in practical ways: visiting the residents, offering to clean their yards, helping with the chores, praying, and providing and delivering groceries through Grateful Hearts.
Our mission is to provide support and community to foster and adoptive families at Cottonwood. The foster care system is always in need of safe and loving homes, and we believe the church can be a part of the solution to this ongoing crisis. Therefore we strive to recruit and come alongside families at Cottonwood who are ready to open their homes and their hearts to these precious children.
Team members either sort, pack, and help distribute food at our mobile pantry or dust, clean, hang up clothes, and assist customers at our thrift store. The store helps raises funds for our food distribution.

Commits to take an active community based approach to environmental stewardship of God’s creation through service. The Green Team inspires the community to come together to sustain a healthy environment for all people to recognize the beauty of God’s work.
Our North Long Beach Hub provides Cottonwood members an opportunity to create small, welcoming gatherings for the local community to explore Jesus. Held at various locations throughout the week, these events are open to all and serve as a catalyst to our future Cottonwood Campuses.

Collaborate with a Christian organization, the “Gleaners,” that works with jails and oversees many different churches to provide one hour church services to inmates. We do a Bible Correspondence Course in English and En Español which help inmates grow in their walk with God.
Cottonwood Veterans Outreach program supports and thanks our veterans for serving our country. We partner with other veterans organizations to access resources and to foster and encourage a veteran’s desire to assist other veterans.
This ministry is the first point of contact to a warm and loving welcome. Plaza hosts answer any questions guests may have, provide a brief orientation of the campus, escort guests to their desired building, or radio the concierge with golf carts for a ride up to ensure that our guests feel welcomed and taken care of.

Cottonwood Runners Outreach is a group of like-minded individuals who share a passion for staying healthy and connecting with others. If you desire to have a healthy body, soul, and spirit, and a heart to serve the community, then join us on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of every month.
Sharing the love of God out on the streets through conversation and prayer in the cities of Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Bring a jacket, we meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 7:30 pm on the plaza in front of the main church building (A).
